SOPHIE WOOLLEY'S NEW PLAY- FIGHT FACE- 16 September - 4 October 2008

If you only go to the theatre once this year (or once in your life for that matter) go and see Sophie Woolley's "Fight Face" at the Lyric in Hammersmith.  16 September - 4 October 2008

The story is about a fight in a kebab shop, or more specifically  the build up to that fight. Characters, played by Sophie and one other actor, include a bored aggressive teenager,  the kebab man, a sexually frustrated artist and some all seeing builders. I really enjoyed it as there's something quite cinematic about the way it's written and staged. It's fast paced and entertaining, energetic to the point of actual bodily harm and so clever you don't even notice it's clever at first.

Really worth seeing.
